The main field is a three quarter sized boarded pitch, where most outdoor coaching and tournaments take place. Adjacent is a stick and ball field.
The only fully sized enclosed arena, with viewing club house, in Africa. We find that the confined space is an invaluable for improvement of riding skills and learning how to school ponies.
We believe that the wooden horse is one of the most important tools for effective coaching. “Stick and Ball”, penalty hitting and practice chukkas ensure that the basics are learned on the wooden horse are put into practice on the field. This is done each morning before on field coaching commences.
There are over 150 horses at Jurassic Park, with 70 playing ponies, many coming from the "on farm" breeding program. These are distributed between the 3 stable blocks.
The club house is located next to the main pitch and arena. There are changing rooms, showers and pool. There is also a bar, dining area and verandah.
