Jurassic Park Polo
We run polo holidays from a long weekend or up to a month. If you wish to also incorporate external tournaments from 0 to 8 goal, playing with Selby and Pah, please contact us and we can provide you with the tournament dates.
This is an all inclusive holiday, so you will just need to book your flight and we will organise the rest.
Join a scheduled clinic or come as a group. Group discounts are available for groups of 8 and above.
Clay pigeon shooting sessions can be organised, if requested 1 week in advance of your holiday.
LOCATION
This polo holiday destination is situated in Swatberg, KwaZulu Natal, the South Eastern part of South Africa.
To get to Jurassic Park, you can fly into Johannesburg (O.R. Tambo International Airport), then catching a short connection flight into Pietermaritzburg airport and you will then be collected by Jurassic Park transport for the 2 hour road transfer.
CLIMATE
During the summer (October to April) warm / hot clear days 15°C – 30°C and warm nights 10°C and winter (May – September) mild days 10°C – 15°C with colder evenings 10°C and sometimes below zero.
VISA HEALTh
European passport holders do not require a visa, but please check the South African embassy website in your home country for more details.
Normally no vaccinations are required to travel to South Africa, but please consult your local doctor for confirmation. There is no malaria in this area and the water on the farm is from the borehole, so can be safely drunk.
It advised to bring between 20 and 50 factor sun screen, plus a hat / cap
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring jeans, tee shirts, light jumpers and a coat. Polo boots, hat, sticks & knee pads for polo. It is possible to hire helmets, sticks and knee pads, if arranged in advance.

Tala Game Lodge, in Pietermaritzberg (2 hours away, best done either on the way to or back from Jurassic Park).

The beach is great. Umhlanga area is fabulous.
The Cabana Beach hotel which is part of Tsogosun is right on the beach.
uShaka Marine World is a 16-hectare theme park which was opened on 30 April 2004 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
